Visage Thrilled to Print Shirts for 6th Annual Bill Cross 5K Walk/Run for BackSnack
At Visage, we’re focused on doing what we can to help improve our community. It always gives us pride when we see our promotional products used to raise awareness and funds for important causes across the Kansas City metro area. On October 9th, Visage printed shirts for the 6th annual Bill Cross 5K Walk/Run for BackSnacks, raising funds for Feed Northland Kids.
Did you know that one in five Northland Kansas City kids go hungry every day? That shocked us too. It’s sometimes hard to believe that such a hunger problem affects us here in our own neighborhoods. Stories about people going hungry worldwide are common, but most people don’t know kids go hungry in our own backyards.
Feed Northland Kids is a local charity that works with Harvesters to provide children with backpacks of food for school, snacks that can keep them succeeding in school and thriving through the weekends.
The 6th annual Bill Cross 5K Walk/Run for BackSnacks started at Zona Rosa shopping center early on the morning of Saturday, October 9th. All of the proceeds from registration and sponsorship fees went directly to Feed Northland Kids, providing thousands of healthy snacks for hungry kids. The event is named after former Mayor of Gladstone and educator for thousands of area students, Bill Cross.
For this year’s event, Visage printed bright purple shirts with an exciting multi-colored design. Not only did the shirt look great on all of the runners and volunteers, but will certainly make an impact as runners wear the shirt again in the future.
Visage was thrilled to be a part of this incredibly important event, and look forward to assisting even more charities raise awareness in the future. Are you looking to promote a charity event? We’d love to hear from you!
